College Scholars Of Bataan Got Allowances

Allowances adding up to Php230,000 for the second semesters of the school year 2007-2008 were received by 92 college scholars from the six towns of the province of Bataan. It means every scholar received Php2,500.By means of the serious attempts of Bataan second district Representative Albert Garcia of giving financial support for intellectual youth to try to accomplish college courses, the scholarship plan of action is part of the privilege granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). In an uncomplicated formality held at the Bulwagan ng Bayan, Capitol Compound in the City of Balanga last March 24, Representative Abet Garcia personally divided the allowances in cash among the 92 college scholars. Education which is very important to the country in accomplishing development of a nation is one the projects coming before another in time or importance of Representative Albert Garcia. The college scholars must receive at least Php10,000 each for the reason that Php2,500 is only enough for transportation expenses. They must also receive allowances for their tuitions, books and projects. Aren't they entitled to those benefits? |
