The Hong Kong Express Boeing 737-800 inaugural flight, transporting 50 Chinese tourists, to the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA), a 25-square kilometer aviation complex, arrived at 1320 hours on Wednesday, March 5, 2008. the tri-weekly MWF flights to Clark, scheduled to operate fro 3 months, will transport tourists from the former British colony and will be useful to overseas Filipino workers who originate mainly from Northern and Central Luzon. the Hong Kong Clark round trip fare has a price of $100.

the act of entering of HK Express was an extraordinary development because it made a choice to operate in this place at a time when the Arroyo administration had maximum strength in serious attempts to make the DMIA e th premiere international gateway of the Philippines.

HK Express, a company who controlled by the Hong Kong Airlines that took flight to Clark up to 2007, was found in 2005, and at the present time takes flight in at the minimum 56 goals of journey, taking in China, Japan and Thailand. The HK Express was enticed to the DMIA by the support of the Maxon Asia Telecom Corporation.

The number of international and local passengers at the DMIA arrived at 533, 619 in 2007 or 1,462 passengers daily, a slight raise from 488,867 passengers in 2006 or 1,339 passengers per day.

The number of passengers at the DMIA increased by 9 percent from 2006 to 2007. we hope that Hong Kong Express will it by 3 percent to 550,000 in 2008. It will be equivalent yo over 1,500 passengers for each day.
