As rising number of retirees in the foreign countries look for alternative and payable place of privacy or safety, Central Luzon is swiftly reaching the state of a retirement destination. The Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) has selected Subic and Clark as one of the six retirement cluster areas in the Philippines.
The national Capital Region, Baguio City in Northern Luzon, Tagaytay City in Southern Luzon, Cebu in Visayas and Davao in Mindanao were the other selected retirement cluster areas. They were selected because of their nearness to international airports and presence of tertiary hospitals, tourist spots and somethings that are suitable for retirees.
As of December 2007, at minimum 355 of the 4,450 retirees have already been taking up residence in Central Luzon. International retirees make a choice to stay in Central Luzon for the reason that the region has lower price of living than that of Metro Manila and other countries along with close at hand retirement villages certified as in conformity with a standard, and support facilities that make an action easier.
