To promote economic opportunities in Zambales, the Advocacy for the Development of Central Luzon (ADCL) and Zambales Governor Amor Deloso recently proclaimed a united agreement to support important infrastructure and tourism projects in the said province.ADCl has been recommending openly for the construction of Clark-Botolan Expressway, which will shorten the travel time from Clark to Botolan down to 30 minutes from three to four hours via Gapan-San Fernando-Olongapo Road (GSO). The suggested Clark-Botolan Expressway will be linked to the Tarlac-Iba Road. Zambales will have a straight way to Clark Freeport and ultimately be connected to the Luisita Industrial Park by way of Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway if Tarlac-Iba Road and Clark-Botolan Expressway will be fully accomplished. ADCL also showed the infrastructure end economic development plans for Zambales. One of these plants is an eco-tourism promotion for Mount Tapulao in the town of Palauig, which is located adjacent to and north of Iba. Mount Tapulao has an altitude of 2,037 meters, the highest in Central Luzon, and has a secret garden at its summit with natural bonsai trees, wild strawberries, peculiar orchids, uncommon flora, and carpets of moss. For these reasons, Mount Tapulao is elevated as the next summer capital of the Philippines. Since majority of the tourists and investors use Clark as starting point to search other areas of Luzon, the tourists can easily reach Mount Tapulao, and the investors can easily invest in Zambales via Clark-Botolon Expressway.
