The Diosdado Macapagal International Airport in Clark, Pampanga will soon as possible take the place of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) as the premier airport of the Philippines.

Officials were given an order to prepare a smooth easy way for the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport to reach the state of being the outstanding airport of the Philippines.

Based on the advice by a group from the Department of Tourism and the Department of Transportation and Communications, the order to prepare was given by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

Except for these government agencies, the businessmen and private sector in Pampanga and Subic, Zambales were supporting for the premiership of Diosdado Macapagal International Airport.

This replacement with another was being requested due to obstruction reaching the state of being worse inside NAIA, where due to the heavy traffic, incoming airplanes would have to wait in the air around half hour before they could land.

Obstruction due to heavy traffic inside NAIA is not only the problem. There is also the obstruction due to heavy traffic outside NAIA. Incoming vehicles to NAIA must look for alternative route to reach NAIA without delay. For this reason, an order of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to prepare a smooth easy way for the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport is timely.
