To take side with an organized effort to carry out a purpose against graft and corruption in the Philippines, Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in the U.S.A. have been contributing dollars, and the $1 Moral Crusade against Graft and Corruption that began in December 2007 has donated $9,000 to the Kapampangan Marangal Inc. (Kami)Founded by election campaign volunteers of Pampanga Governor Eddie Panlilio, Kami plans to utilize the donation for organizing and training activities in its good citizenship plan of action in Pampanga. Pampanga has been selected as recipient due to the moral leadership of Panlilio. He has altered the regulatory systems and collection in the quarry industry, changing it completely into a multimillion-peso revenue source. He has in addition taken away the kickbacks in public projects by acting in agreement with the national bidding law and policies. Part of the contributions will be funded to the education and housing programs of Gawad Kalinga. A minimum of one thousand Filipinos and Filipino Americans donated $1, $25 or $50 each. Four Americans were among the donors. The Filipino United Network (Fun), the starter of the online drive against graft and corruption in the Philippines, posted the names of the donors and particulars of the campaign on its website. Those who are against graft and corruption in the Philippines must contribute through the $1 Moral Crusade against Graft and Corruption" and soon after that, look for your name in the Filipino United Network website to be sure that your donation is counted.
