Pampanga's 2008 Budget Not Enough

The Pampanga provincial administration has guaranteed that its 2008 budget will be competent to direct the attention of its different concerns, particularly causing to be concentrated on the area of social services.Coming before in importance is a budget for Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Budget for BJMP vehicles and detainees uniforms and food subsistence allowance is also granted. There is an increased budget for Public Health Program so that to make stronger preventive health care and curative health care. More funds are given to make better the skills and give courage to rural health and day care center workers to work better. There is a suggested scholarship program where a full scholarship will be given to cover tuition fee and other expenses amounting to php10,000 per student per semester. Funds are distributed for the Provincial Agricultural Program to raise up from below the rice and corn production program and other related programs. Funds are distributed too for livelihood of native groups, for barangay development programs, for school-based nutrition program and for implementation of peace and order programs. A skills and capability training and seminar for all employees has in addition been proposed, where a Masters in Public Management scholarship will be given. Ateneo de Manila University will conduct and take along the course to Pampanga. The provincial government will subsidize 95 percent of the tuition fees of all employees, but not the tuition fees of the Pampanga's towns mayors who will be requested to take part in the course.
