At present, local authorities in this free port are working very hard to deal with the shortage of skilled workers. According to Bataan 2nd District Rep. Albert Raymond Garcia, the provincial and municipal governments are now collaborating with Technical Educational and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). This partnership will provide training for probable workers from the province of Bataan. Garcia added that they have signed an agreement with international garments firm Luen Thai which will eventually need 10,000 skilled workers. [via mb.com.ph] |
