Land From PNB And Houses From GK

Written by Remon

A parcel of land with a total area of more than one hectares and situated in Lubao, Pampanga is being donated by the Philippines National Bank (PNB) to the provincial government of Pampanga for the construction of adequate homes for the homeless to be taken as a task by the Gawad Kalinga (GK).

Gawad Kalinga means "to give care" and its purpose is to give alternative solution to the state of being poor not only in the Philippines but in the whole world by means of a simple and careful plan of method of giving land for the landless, home for the homeless and food for the hungry.

In association with its colleague, GK has the purposes of constructing seven hundred thousand homes in seven thousand communities in seven years from 2003 up to 2010. As of the present time, GK is in more than nine hundred communities all over the world and I suppose it is lagging behind, but it is better lagging behind than never.

Pampanga Governor Eddie T. Panlilio is thankful that the people of Pampanga will receive benefit from houses and lots from GK and PNB, respectively.
