Ferry Boat in Mariveles, Bataan

After weeks of silence, Joseph Rellora of the Super Cat Ferry said that Super Cat ferry boat will now be accessible.

Rellora said that the Ferry boat resumed and will now work regularly to serve the commuters plying Bataan to Manila.

The operations of Super Cat ferry were called off last month for preventive maintenance checkups to further ensure the safety of the ferry boat, the only means of coastal transportation plying along Manila Bay - Bataan.

With this, Rep. Abet S. Garcia and the Philippine Coast guard Commander Lt. Sr. Grade Geronimo Tuvilla that this resumption of Ferry boat in the province will be of great service to the residents and businessmen in Bataan since the trip takes only an hour, unlike the land trips that take almost three hours.

Mayor Jesse Concepcion of Mariveles also welcomed the resumption of ferry services in the province and requested the management to set up one more extra ferry boat that would take passengers from Mariveles, Bataan to Manila.

Meanwhile, Rep. Garcia is now sourcing for additional funds for the expansion of the Orion port to make it a roll on, roll off (RoRo) port. [via mb.com.ph]
