With the new provincial board, Pampanga is bent to acquire, maintain and control the Paskuhan Village and the Arayat National Park to make the most of their full potential as tourist destination in Central Luzon.Gov. Pineda, the new elected governor of the province, with the full cooperation of Vice Gov. Joseller Yeng Guiao and other officials plan to make the province a tourist food core showcasing Kapampangan delicacies. An endorsement has been made by the provincial board and has been approved by Pineda. The said endorsement will be submitted to President Noynoy Aquino for consideration. Guiao said that they are hoping for a constructive response to the said request. In addition to this, the provincial board will also commend a motion asking for the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to assign a new management group for the Arayat National Park, which was allegedly mismanaged. Launching the Pampanga food festival is also part of the plan of Pineda administration in the province to have food tourism for their delicacies like the ecotourism they have in the province.
