Pampanga Furniture Exporters visit Malacanang

During the Natural Resources Legacy Part II which happened last month at the Rizal Hall of Malacañang, Myrna Bituin, proprietor of Betis Crafts Inc. of Pampanga, represents the Furniture exporters by delivering testimonies that expressed their gratitude to President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's for financial policies and support. Pres. Arroyo assistance had helped them to perform well. In the last 9 years, Myrna is the trustee of the Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc.According to Bituin the P28-million Pampanga Furniture Training Center had provided training to thousands of residents in Pampanga, most of them are Mt. Pinatubo victims. They have found job in the overseas market. The Executive Order No 879 requires the Philippine Bamboo Industry Development Council to provide 25% of school desks for public elementary schools. The raw materials of each desk is bamboo. Bituin said, Your commitment to Asean (Association of South East Asian Nations) on climate change that 500,000 hectares of bamboo be planted by the Council in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and Department of Agriculture (DA) have provided a stable source of raw materials for furniture manufacturers.
The P1 billion funds for the Export Support Fund and P1.3 billion National Development Program Fund for 2010 will help to sustain all home materials used by the business. [via gov.ph] |
