After the Chinese government granted the Philippines its Approval Destination Status, a new Freeport will be launched this year. With a 37% flow in tourist arrivals from China last year, the said Freeport will be a major gateway between China and RP. According to Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Administrator Armand Arreza, the officials of Shijiazhuang and Taizhou cities including a municipality in Southern China had supported the direct flights to Subic.

The usual arrival of tourists from the People's Republic of China (PRoC) resulted to a huge business for the freeport and Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) in Clark. Tourist will only travel 35-45 minutes using the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx). Now, Subic and Clark is one destination.

Based from the projections of the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB), more than five million foreign visitors may visit our country. They may pass or stay here in Subic and Clark. [via mb.com.ph]
