Phil Export Zone

Angeles City
Monday, 12 March 2007

Exports from the Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ) increased to $1.08 billion in 2006 from $1.03 billion.

Nanox Philippines, Inc. a Japanese firm which manufactures liquid crystal displays, remained the Clark Special Economic Zone’s top exporter from 2003 to 2006 with more than $637 million export value in 2005 and greater than $666 million export value in 2006.

Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc., a Japanese firm which manufactures tires and exports them to different countries in Asia, Europe and North America, placed second with $64.1 million export value in 2005 and $104 million export value of tires in 2006.

L & T International Group Philippines, Inc., a garment firm places third with $69.3 million export value in 2006.

Smart Shirt Philippines, Inc., other garment firm, placed fourth with $35.5 million export value in 2006.

SMK Electronics, another Japanese firm, placed fifth with $18.7 million export value in 2006.

From sixth to tenth place were all garment firms. They are Peninsula Fashion International Corporation with $18.3 million, L & K Industries Phil. With $17.9 million, Crismina Garments with $16.2 million, Golden Stone Garments, Inc., with $11.4 million, and Bright Glory Apparel Corporation with $8.4 million.

Because of the presence of economic zones in Subic, Pampanga and Tarlac province, Central Luzon usually places third among the 16 regions in terms of export. I hope Central Luzon will place second in the future.
