A contract of agreement with Subic Bay Freeport Chamber of Commerce was signed by the Philippine Retirement Authority. The objective of this contract signing is to promote and situate the Freeport as a main retirement facility in SBMA. The agreement will incorporate marketing and promotional activities of the Freeport. This includes information spreading, public relations, unique events and other retiree-related tourism programs to take full advantage of Subic's market.According to PRA chair Edgar Aglipay, the weather, manpower, customs and services here in our country are the advantages to compete with other Asian nations in the retirement industry. Internationally, Filipinos are known worldwide for being extremely competent and skilled. SBMA Administrator Armand Arreza stated that the freeport has outstanding retirement facilities like Subic Holiday Villas, a relaxation and retirement village that can provide lodgings to the families of 500 retirees mainly from Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
