A South Korean business company is putting out $300 million in order to gain a financial return to the sugarcane-fed bioethanol plant to be constructed in Clark. The bioethanol plant is arranged to be put into service in 2012 and will have a power generation component capable of providing 40 megawatts to itself and other consumers in the Clark economic zone. It will have a production capacity of 150 million liters of bioethanol a year, while existing local producers have a production capacity of only 30 million liters a year. The sugarcane supply from 30,000 hectares of sugarcane fields of Central Luzon Bioenergy Corporation in Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, and Tarlac will serve the demand for sugarcane of the bioethanol plan in Clark. We pray that El Nino phenomenon will not affect the productions of sugarcane and bioethanol. [via business.inquirer.net] |
