Pampanga's Outstanding Implementer of Nutrition Programs

During the 35th nutrition month culminating activity and awarding ceremonies in the province of Pampanga, the municipality was awarded as the most outstanding implementer of nutrition programs in the province.The event was held recently at the Benigno Aquino Memorial Hall, Capitol compound in the City of San Fernando. The municipality of Guagua bested other municipalities in the province of Pampanga for two consecutive years now. Winning town was awarded with a plaque plus a cash prize of P50,000 from the provincial government. Other winners are the towns of Mabalacat placed second; Sasmuan, third; Lubao, fourth; and Candaba, fifth. These winners received both plaques and cash prizes of P30, 000, P20,000, P15,000 and P10,000, respectively. Other towns were also awarded with plaques and P5, 000 as cash prize for their efforts in the implementation of nutrition program. These towns are Magalang, Sto.Tomas, Porac, Mexico, Arayat, Bacolor, Minalin, San Simon, Masantol and Apalit.
The provincial government of Pampanga addressed everybody to continue sustain their efforts and renew their commitment to further develop the nutritional status of their respective towns and the entire province as well. [via PIA] |
