First School-Based PESO at BulSU

With the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) by Bulacan Governor.Joseliton Mendoza representing the Provincial Government of Bulacan, Director Nathaniel V. Lacambra of the Department of Labor and Employment-Regional Office III (DOLE-ROIII), Dr. Mariano De Jesus, president of BulSU and Mr. Alberto J. Valenzuela, the assigned director for BulSU PESO, Bulacan State University (BulSU) is now the first academic institution in the province to have its own school-based Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

Through this project of the university, it will help boost the services offered by provincial and municipal PESO including Labor Market Information (LMI) Service like job solicitation, referral and placement for local and overseas employment for students and newly graduates of the said university, as well as the implementation of its other core programs.

BulSU PESO is also ready to provide counselling and pre-orientation seminar to students to guide them when applying for a job.

With an overwhelming number of enrolees totalling to 24,094 at present, BulSU was chosen to be the venue of the first school-based PESO. [via PIA]
