With the start of the operations of the newly Aurora Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), officials are bullish over the prospects of business in Northeastern Luzon. The Ecozone is expected to generate investments and jobs for the province, which is considered as one of the poorest province.

Chairman Joseph Delano-Bernardo of ASEZA said that they are up beating the Ecozone because of its site, which is an ideal place for such economic zone.

The zone was created by RA 9490, which is signed by the President Arroyo o June 29.

With the new planned projects, thousands of employment opportunities will be made available once the ecozone has been fully operational.

Gov. Bellaflor Angara-Castillo said that the ecozone signals the dawn of a new era in the province and a better quality of life for the local folk. [via]
