With the support of the guards of the town of Mabalacat in the province of Pampanga, police captured and saved 14 young persons doing work in two computer shops allegedly being utilized as cyber sex hiding places coming as a result of the raids along the streets of Malakas and Matiyaga. The captured persons declared the allegations to be true and one of them stated she was not having knowledge that the computer shop was a cyber sex den. The identity of the owner of the shops was not established by police. Officials declared the owner is at freedom from restraint but will be accused for breaking Republic Act 9208 or Anti-trafficking in Persons Act. During the intervening time, the captured and saved persons will be transferred to the Department of Social Welfare and Development. We do not know whether the 14 young persons were captured to be accused or were saved as victims. To find a solution foe this problem is a duty of officials. [via] |
