One of the major activities of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines GSP on its 68th anniversary this year is its 34th National Encampment at the Central Luzon Regional Campsite in Bamban, Tarlac on April 20-29, 2008.To meet the requirements of the partakes and be appropriate to their welfares, the aim of the National Encampment is to prepare them with a broad range of dexterities that comes from training or practice. By means of fun-filled activities, cooperation, teamwork and friendship are expected to be shown clearly. To become quicker to respond to present environmental affairs by giving ability to the partakers to make known their awareness of value for outdoor living is also expected. To emphasize the fact that GSP are many but they are one and they enjoy with others an ordinary and great state of interest for finding out their own selves and their real value and for bringing out their possibilities to have 3 share to a better world, the theme of this 34th National Encampment is Girls Worldwide Say... Many but One. The said word one does not mean being a single unit or thing but being the same in kind or quality. GSP are many things but they are one in kind or quality. |
