First World Eco-Urban Center At Subic Bay

The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority has a long-term goal of transforming the greater Subic Bay area into a First World eco-urban center in 20 years. This project is hoped to bring significant development of municipalities around the freeport. This transformation of the greater Subic Bay area will serve as a regional development center in Southeast Asia in the next 20 years, and will also serve as something that completes Clark Freeport.

 
Pantabangan-Masiway Power Plant Extension

The completely owned subsidiary First Gen Hydro Power Corp. of electricity producer First Gen Corp. had awarded to Austria-based VA Tech Hydro GmbH a legally binding agreement to raise to a higher grade and enlarge the 100-megawatt Pantabangan hydropower plant in the province of Nueva Ecija.

The restoration to goof condition and upgrade project will lengthen the life of plant by 25 years and enlarge its capacity by around 18 megawatts. The upgrade will likewise make greater in value the ratio of the useful energy delivered by the Pantabangan-Masiway hydropower complex to the energy supplied to it. With three billion cubic meters of water, the Pantabangan-Masiway has the biggest water reservoir among hydropower plants and as a result, greater things can be done with the upgrade and expansion.

 
Second Phase Of Casiguran Airport Funded

The first phase of the Casiguran Airport project was fully accomplished in October 2007 at a price of P15million. This was composed of the construction of the perimeter fence, clearing, grubbing and earthworks.

The second phase of the airport project in this northern coastal town of Casiguran in the province of Aurora has been funded P157 million by the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC). The fund will be used for the construction of a 36,000-square meter concrete runway, 4,800-square meter concrete apron - the extensive paved part of an airport immediately adjacent to the terminal and administration buildings, fire station, parking spaces and other structures.

 
Via Clark-Botolan Expressway To Zambales

To promote economic opportunities in Zambales, the Advocacy for the Development of Central Luzon (ADCL) and Zambales Governor Amor Deloso recently proclaimed a united agreement to support important infrastructure and tourism projects in the said province.

ADCl has been recommending openly for the construction of Clark-Botolan Expressway, which will shorten the travel time from Clark to Botolan down to 30 minutes from three to four hours via Gapan-San Fernando-Olongapo Road (GSO). The suggested Clark-Botolan Expressway will be linked to the Tarlac-Iba Road.

 
Computer Program For Bulacan Teachers

The province of Bulacan began the sixth part of its computer literacy program named as the Pathways Computer Literacy Program. The purpose of this program is to bring to a more advanced the computer dexterity of Bulacan public school teachers and students.

The Provincial Government of Bulacan, Ateneo de Manila University and the Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Bulacan signed an informal record of contract for the fulfillment of the program that will continue in operation up to December 2008.
