To answer energy problems in neighbouring communities and to lessen the cost of power in the Freeport, SBMA (Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority) approved the $75-million wind energy project proposed by China-based Sunnew Investments Ltd. SBMA Administrator Armand Arreza unveiled that Sunnew-Subic has proposed to construct a total of 25 wind turbines in the Subic Bay Freeport, with the project covering a total area of 50,000 square meters at both the Mt. Sta. Rita and the Redondo Peninsula sites. |

To make the Subic Bay International Airport (SBIA) expand its thrust in providing aviation services, Omni Aviation Corporation, a premier pilot school, will open inside the Freeport. From its home-base at the Clark Freeport in Pampanga, Omni Aviation Corporation expanded into Subic and renovated Hangar 8128, which was used by US Navy war planes until 1992.
Omni chairman and chief executive Captain Ben Hur Gomez said that the expansion in Subic facility is part of their company's vision to turn into a premier pilot school and fixed-base operator in the Southeast Asian region. |

It is the 37th shopping mall in the country and the first mall in Tarlac. SM Prime Holdings, Inc., the Philippines' leading mall developer built the new shopping mall. SM Prime president Hans T. Sy, said that the four level mall has a gross floor area (GFA) of 103,340 square meters (sq.m) and occupies 34,385 sq.m of land. |

Just recently, the Province of Bataan launches SuperCat that will give a fast and reliable service to get to Bataan or vice versa. The program was held last month at the Plaza Mayor de Balanga in Balanga City and was hosted by Tuesday Vargas with others guests like the Mocha Girls. The launching highlighted the service and the speed of travel coupled with safety and security benefits. |

Farmers from the province of Nueva Ecija proved that the El Niño phenomenon is no match with their resourcefulness. Since the country is presently experiencing the effect of the El Niño phenomenon, they find an alternative of how will they surpass the effect of this phenomenon in their farm. One of these alternatives was used by a mechanical engineer turned farmer from Barangay San Juan, Rolando Acain. |
