The Kalaklan bridge was opened to pedestrians last January, mostly for the workers in the Subic Bay Freeport. The bridge is the free port’s gateway to Zambales, that is one of the four bridges linking the free port zone to Olongapo City. The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) announced that the Kalaklan Lighthouse Bridge will be accessible from April 16 to 24. |

The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) plans to speed up the redevelopment of 8 well-known investment zones: Subic’s Central Tourist District, Subic Gateway Park for commercial and mixed-use development, 16-hectare marshalling yard converted into the Gateway Business District, educational institutions at the Paradise lot, maritime industrial complex around Hanjin shipyard, integrated resorts in Cawag and Minanga, Subic Bay golf course, and outward expansion. |

In February 2010, a multi-species fish hatchery began its construction in barangay Zabali, Baler, Aurora. It is about 100 m away from Port Cemento and 10 km from Baler town. And its completion is scheduled this March. The species include milkfish, seabass, tilapia, pompano, and abalone. |

The Zambales Provincial Police Office (ZPPO) have merged with the provincial government in the launching of the project Tourism Police Patrol. The said project aims to boost the tourism in the province. The launching happened at the provincial capitol plaza wherein 15 units of e-Bicycle were presented. The e-Bicycle will be used as a service or patrol to the different tourist destinations in all municipalities of the province. |
