The Importance of In–Service Training to Teachers in our School System

Aviation through Balloon Festival

Twenty-five hot air balloons of different shapes and sizes took off in Clark field Pampanga for the opening of Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, which is also aims to promote aviation as a career.

Participants are from Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, France, United States of America, United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand, Thailand, Netherlands and Malaysia.

The event also includes skydiving, paragliding and kite-flying exhibitions by military and privately-run flying clubs.

 
Business Leaders Mention Innovative SCTEx Interchange

Top business leaders in Central Luzon have hailed the recent opening of the Clark North Interchange of the Subic- Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx). They said that it promises well for the development of Clark as a premier investor's haven in Asia and the larger socioeconomic growth of Central Luzon.

PamCham (Pampanga Chamber and Industry) Chairman, Levy Laus said that the newly opened interchange presents direct access to the Clark Free Port and will considerably advance the transport requirements of Clark's locators.

 
Marooned Dolphins Set Free in Manila

Same thing in Bataan 200 melon-head dolphins were also flocked to shallow waters in Manila Bay on February 10, 2009.

In a telephone interview, Malcom Sarmiento, director of the Bureau of Fisheries and aquatic resources said that the unusual occurrence may have been triggered by a sea quake that could have damaged the dolphins' eardrums and disoriented then, or the pod could have been following a sick inquired leader.

Fishermen and villagers trooped to the beach and waded into the chest-deep water, clapping their hands and hitting the surface to drive the dolphins away from the shallow water.

 
Lockmaker Opens New Facility in Subic

Taiwanese Lockmaker Tong Lung (Phils.) Metal Industry Co. Ltd. Made ready for use a $5-million new zinc-die casting and plating facility at the Subic Bay Free Port that would make it easier to market 1 million locksets a month in Asia, America, Europe and Africa beginning next year. Tong Lung was established in Taiwan in 1954, and now, the Subic plant is expected to serve as the second base for hardware production for Tong Lung Co. in Asia.
