Toshiba Corp. from Japan is planning to restore the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant. Froilan Tampinco, the President of National Power Corp. (Napocor) said that the Japanese people are interested to rehabilitate the Bataan plant since Toshiba already manages Westinghouse Electric Co., the company that constructed the 630 megawatt nuclear plant. Toshiba is known as one of Japan's biggest suppliers of nuclear reactors and consumer electronic goods globally.

SBMA or the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority had merged with Aviation Concepts Holdings (AC), a Guam-based aviation company which will invest $1.1 million for the conversion of Subic Bay International Airport (SBIA) into first-class full-service aviation center.

To set up a world-class, full-service aviation center inside the Subic Bay International Airport (SBIA), Aviation Concepts Holdings, an American-Canadian joint venture, is set to take over airport hangars abandoned by courier giant Federal Express.

According to SBMA administrator Armand C. Arreza SBIA has been inactive since February 2009 when Federal Express transferred its Asia-Pacific hub to China.
