Another eco-heritage park will be seen at the Inang Filipina shrine in Real de Kakarong in Bulacan. This will commemorate how the Katipuneros fought the Spaniards in 1897. According to Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, they have started the construction of the new tourist spot. They are expecting nature lovers will be visiting the park. Pandi, Bulacan was known as the Real de Kacarong de Sili Shrine or the Inang Filipina Shrine because of the history of Philippine Independence. Bulacan was known as the home of noble heroes who fought for freedom to revive the 3 republics which include The Republic of Kakarong de Sili, The Biak-na-Bato Republic and the Malolos Republic.

The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) is now on the process of proposing a project that will initiate the use of light emitting diode (LED) lamps to cut down their high energy expenses. According to SBMA Chairman Roberto Garcia, they are presently coordinating with BandaSolar, a Subic-registered company which produces cost-efficient and environment-friendly lighting solutions.

Water Park at Angat, Bulacan

To promote eco-tourism, the government of Bulacan is now planning to open a water park near Angat Dam by May. It would be a 3 hectare water sports complex which will be located in in Brgy. Sta Cruz, Angat. It will be named Ganda Ko'y Silayan: Angat Water Park where amenities such as water skiing, jet skiing, boating, kayaking, zipline, wakeboarding, floating restaurants, and fishing and picnic areas are included. According to Angat Mayor Gilberto Santos, the whole facility is expected to be finished by 2013.
