ICC Stickers for motorcycle riders' helmet

The Republic Act 10054 or the Motorcycle Helmet Law mandates all motorcycle riders to wear standard protective helmets with ICC sticker that means the product has passed quality standards. In compliance to this policy, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Bataan requires sticker marking on the helmets of all motorcycle riders in the province. DTI-Bataan Director Yay Lasam cited in a press meeting that the agency will check and verify if the motorcycle riders' helmets are protective. An Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) sticker will be attached on the helmet for free. Lasam explained that all motorists should visit the DTI’s office to avail of the ICC sticker. They must accomplish the application form and present a valid ID to have the said sticker. Sticker will be granted to motorists until December 31, 2012.

Last 2004 only 120 calesas or horse-drawn carts can be seen daily in the streets of San Fernando. As of August this year, that fleet of calesas had increased to 156. According to City Administrator Ferdinand Cavlao, the increase of the number of calesas is due to the eagerness of calesa drivers to compete with pedicabs. Calesa drivers are being trained as tourist guides to further boost the tourism in the city.

In the recent Subic Bay Maritime Conference and Exhibit, more than 500 shippers and shipping line operators had attended the two day event which was held at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center. According to Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairman Roberto Garcia, representatives from various shipping and logistics companies from as far as South Africa, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan participated in the forum which focused on the advantages of Subic as a logistics and investment hub. Compared to Manila, Subic port has one of the most beautiful and technologically - advanced container terminals in the country.

 
Free Bus rides for Resorts World Manila customers in Central Luzon

A customer relationship management technique is continuously implemented by Resorts World Manila (RWM). According to Ana Chua, RWM sales manager, the company have offered daily bus rides exclusively for RWM clients from Pampanga as they launched their project last November 2011. This year, the company offers a similar service in Bulacan which started last July 7. The company established partnership with San Fernando and Balanga-based Creative Travel and Tours for the Central Luzon marketing promotion. Genesis bus will be utilized by the said project.

Balanga City: A Technological Hub

The technological hub of the province aims to improve and transform the City into an IT investment thru implementing various technological projects. According to techie Mayor Jose Enrique Garcia III, the construction of an IT laboratory and library had started to assist the education sector of Bataan. The government had allotted 18.51 hectares for the improvement of schools, churches, city hall, and other public buildings. The design of the university town project was adopted from prominent technological institutions in Silicon Valley in California. The groundwork of Silicon Valley represents cleverness, innovation and creativity of their people. Silicon Valley became popular because of its investments in information technology.

Ayala Land. Inc. is currently promoting another economic housing project named Amaia. The housing project will be situated in 19.6 hectare land in Mexico, Pampanga. This residential investment of Ayala group of companies is an addition to their MarQuee Malls and MarQuee projects in Angeles City which was built last 2007. Mr. Antonino Aquino, Ayala Land president, explained that the company will pursue with more property developments. They are also planning to acquire more properties in the northern part of Metro Manila.
