Interconnection with Globe Telecom by Bayan Telecommunications (Bayantel) and Digital Telecommunications Philippines (Digitel) is now connected in some provinces like Zambales, Sorsogon and Camarines Norte.
Residents and business establishments in the said provinces will no longer pay high bills because of the interconnection of three giant telecommunications network. |

The government of Pampanga province has approved the P9.5 million resources for bamboo livelihood and expansion projects. Lilia Pineda, Pampanga Governor, conducted a meeting with Vice-Governor Joseller Guiao, and representatives of various business sectors last July 19, 2010. They discussed about the reconstitution of the Pampanga Bamboo Development Council (PBDC). They had approved the immediate planting of bamboo plants in the province. According to Guiao, the Pampanga Agricultural College (PAC) has devoted to administer the planting of some 6,000 bamboo propagules this rainy season. The planting of the bamboo propagules will be from August to September of this year. The political leaders of Pampanga want to guarantee the success of the bamboo development project which shall not merely promote livelihood opportunities, but shall also serve as a lessening measure for climate change, disaster and shortage. |
