A South Korean business company is putting out $300 million in order to gain a financial return to the sugarcane-fed bioethanol plant to be constructed in Clark.

The bioethanol plant is arranged to be put into service in 2012 and will have a power generation component capable of providing 40 megawatts to itself and other consumers in the Clark economic zone.

Because of the planned transfer of the US naval base from Okinawa, Japan to Guam, there will be a $15 billion US military naval project in Guam and Filipino contractors will be needed to have a bid with this big project. Olongapo Mayor James Gordon Jr. announced this opportunity to all Filipino manpower companies and suppliers to meet important decision makers.

In collaboration with the Tarlac Provincial Government, Department of Education will conduct its annual national scholastic sports competition from April 11 to 17.

The said competition, known as Palarong Pambansa, is now on its fifty third year.

More than 6,000 student athletes from elementary and secondary schools nationwide are expected to troop to Tarlac province in April for the 53rd edition of the Palarong Pambansa.

With the week-long “Lakbay Norte” (Travel North), there are now more grounds to visit and revive the beauty of Northern Luzon.

Lakbay Norte is tour which took a team of local media and bloggers to nine different places covering nearly 1,800 kilometers.

The tour includes the visit in Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, La Union, Baguio City, Pangasinan, Subic Bay, Tarlac, Pampanga and Clark Free Port Zone and other part of Northern Luzon to promote economic development through tourism.
